CAN Connect is part of a range of services aimed at reducing loneliness and isolation in Norfolk. Together with Lily (covering King’s Lynn and West Norfolk) and Better Together (South Norfolk, Broadland, Norwich and Great Yarmouth), we help individuals over the age of 18 years old who are socially isolated and/or experiencing feelings of loneliness in Breckland and North Norfolk. CAN Connect is delivered by Community Action Norfolk in partnership with Future Projects.
Commissioned and funded by Norfolk County Council, the service was created in 2018 to support a broad range of individuals across the county to reduce these feelings and help them connect with their communities. To achieve this, we assign clients to a Life Connector for one-to-one support.
We can help individuals to:
- Identify and achieve their goals.
- Support with advice and coaching.
- Help find the right support if specialist help is needed.
- Find and support individuals to get involved with activities within their community.
CAN Connect also offers volunteer befriending to clients, and volunteering opportunities for people in the community.
