Karl Hills

Job Title: Life Connector

Bio: Previous to joining Can Connect, Karl has spent his time working in the Voluntary sector as a Service Manager for a Health and Wellbeing Service. Karl began his career at Future Projects in July 2020 as a Life Connector covering North Norfolk area and works alongside his colleague Natalie Hickman. In his spare time Karl enjoys Comedies, Gardening, Fashion, Travel and is an avid supporter of his local team Norwich City.

Natalie Hickman

Job Title: Senior Life Connector

Bio: I cover the North Norfolk and work alongside my life connector colleague Karl Hills and also line manage the life connector team. I’ve been in post since November 2018, since the very start of the service and seen the service grow and all the wonderful work that is being done to support people who are experiencing loneliness and isolation.

I’ve worked in the voluntary sector for the past 13 years and prior to this worked as a mental health nurse in a few areas including London and Germany.

I love everything to do with crafting and being creative, have my own Youtube channel and online shop. Avid letter writer, journal writer and currently writing a fiction book. I enjoy mini breaks and love everything Italian including the place and the food!

Natasha Jackson

Job Title: Support Coordinator

Bio: Natasha enjoys being involved with her local community, by entering charity runs and baking cakes for her local community café which supports the local village schools.

Natasha also enjoys long walks with her family.

Natasha enjoys travelling the world and has a passion for sea life and takes any opportunity given to be able to experience the thrill of swimming with dolphins, sting rays and sharks which she has enjoyed in places like Caribbean and Africa. 

Ellie Coldham


Job Title: Support Co-ordinator. Ellie works alongside Natasha – helping to train and recruit volunteers, matchmake clients to their volunteers and triaging clients to ensure they receive the help that they require.

Bio: I have two mischievous cats called Mushu and Katsu. I enjoy yoga, wild camping, hiking, climbing and houseplants (I possibly have too many). I also love reading everything and anything!

Emily

Job Title: ‘Life Connector’ for the Breckland region.

Bio: Emily works as a community support networker- encouraging adults, on a one to one basis, to access clubs and activities of interest within their local area; thereby addressing and finding solutions to alleviate the individuals’ feelings of loneliness and isolation within their home and community.

Fun fact: having rented a half plot allotment for approx. 10 years, it has taken a pandemic and (what was 2 lock downs) to enable me to actually grow some produce, as I haven’t had the time to actually knuckle down and do it successfully before- Here is me and a cauliflower I grew!
